Living History Australia’s programs come in four formats:

• 2hr Performance
• Full Activity Day
• Fun Day

2hr Performance

A 2hr Performance can be booked as a morning session starting any time before 9.30am or an afternoon session starting any time after 12.45pm. The basic layout is:

1.5hr Presentation (approx.)

This is where the LHA Team present the knowledge, talking about the topics relevant to the time period/s. The presentation is given in various ways. Our staff may dress in costume and act ‘in character’ to present the information or they may step ‘out of character’ for other parts. They may also invite students and/or teachers onto the stage, dressing them as the characters to assist with the presentation.

30min Artefact Interaction (approx.)

This segment is where the students are given the opportunity to get up and interactive. They can dress in costumes, try on armour, handle some of the weapons (under strict supervision), have a close up look at reproduction and, in some cases, genuine artefacts and of course talk to our Team and ask any questions they might have.

Full Activity Day

A Full Activity Day covers your entire school day. You nominate the start and finish times to best suit your school schedule. The basic layout is:

Games and Activities

The remainder of the day is spent with students participating in 3-4 games and activities. These will either be traditional games or dances from a specific time period or games created by the LHA Team based on period activities. All our games and activities have Risk Assessments and have been adapted to meet todays Health and Safety Standards. Fun Day

A Fun Day covers your entire school day. You nominate the start and finish times to best suit your school schedule. The basic layout is:

Games and Activities

The entire day is spent with students participating in 5-6 games and activities from the Ancient World right through to the Colonial period. These will either be traditional games or dances from any time period or games created by the LHA Team based on various time period activities. You can choose a specific time period if you like. All our games and activities have Risk Assessments and have been adapted to meet today’s Health and Safety Standards. Prices:

• 2hr Performance = $12 per student
• Full Activity Day/Fun Day = $17 per student

Please Note: Our prices are subject to a minimum fee based on location.

For all other show formats the minimums are based on location:

• Brisbane area (within Nerang, Ipswich, Caboolture)
  • If you have less than 60 students, we charge a flat fee minimum of:
    • $720 for a 2hr Performance
    • $1020 for a Full Activity Day or Fun Day
  • If you have more than 60 students, we charge the per head fee of:
    • $12 for a 2hr Performance
    • $17 for a Full Activity Day or Fun Day

• Greater Brisbane area (up to Tweed Heads, Toowoomba, Gympie)
  • If you have less than 80 students, we charge a flat fee minimum of:
    • $960 for a 2hr Performance
    • $1360 for a Full Activity Day or Fun Day
  • If you have more than 80 students, we charge the per head fee of:
    • $12 for a 2hr Performance
    • $17 for a Full Activity Day or Fun Day

• In all areas outside the boundaries stated above
  • If you have less than 100 students, we charge a flat fee minimum of:
    • $1200 for a 2hr Performance
    • $1700 for a Full Activity Day or Fun Day
  • If you have more than 100 students, we charge the per head fee of:
    • $12 for a 2hr Performance
    • $17 for a Full Activity Day or Fun Day

Things to Remember

• We are always happy to discuss tailoring our programs content and/or format to better suit your needs.
• We will always try our best to fit in with your school break times to minimise disruption to the school day.
• We are always open to negotiations on prices and minimum fees.
• We are GST exempt.
